ADELIZA PEARSON married Jared P. Maxfield at Lawrence, Massachusetts, on 15 May 1861 (VR Ma 145:74:4). The marriage record stated:

This record informs us that Adeliza, the daughter of Samuel and Rhoda Pearson, was born at Dracut about 1837/8 (about 1836/7 in 1880 Census).

Six months after their marriage, Jared enlisted to fight in the Civil War. He served from 22 November 1861 to 28 August 1863 (MSSMCW 6:404):

After the war, Jared and Adeliza Maxfield lived in Lowell, Massachusetts. Jared was called a clerk, living on Cabot Road, on the birth record of a child in 1867. Jared worked as Treasurer of Hiscox Tile Manufacturing Company of nearby West Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Jared was elected to the Lowell Common Council in 1873 (F). The Jared Maxfield family was reported in the 1880 Census (545:421D) in Lowell as follows:

Jared Maxfield died at Lowell on 3 June 1891 (VR Ma 419:219:832):

The 1910 census (599:2:64A) reported Adeliza Maxfield at the same address, with daughter Mary, a telephone operator, and Mary's daughter Ruth, age 9.
