NATHANIEL6 MAXFIELD was born at Loudon, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, on 13 January 1797 a son of Stephen Maxfield and his wife Hannah Moody. He died at Loudon (then in Merrimack County) on 1 April 1859. He married at Loudon on 10 May 1826 BETSEY STEVENS. She was born at New Hampshire about 1796 and died after 1870.

Nathaniel Maxfield and his wife Betsey Stevens had the following children:

  1. HANNAH M.7 MAXFIELD b. at Loudon on December 1826; m. at Manchester, Hillsborough Co., NH, on 4 October 1853 THOMAS A. SEARS.
  2. STEPHEN M.7 MAXFIELD b. at Loudon on November 1830; d. aft. 1910.
  3. CHARLES7 MAXFIELD b. at Loudon on 1832; d. bef. 1840.
