JOHN S.3 SCHAUBACH (Martin2, Henry1) was born at Paradise Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, on 6 February 1867 (Sch 6), a child of Martin Schaubach and his wife Annie Winters. His family moved to Nottoway County, Virginia, about 1870, which was where he grew up. About 1895/6 (1930 census) he married AVE EMOGINE TANNER, who was born at Virginia on 11 June 1872 (Sch 6).

The 1920 census (CR 1920: 1898:15B) reported this family at Pennsylvania Avenue, Crewe, Nottoway County, Virginia:

The 1930 census (CR 1930: 2453:) reported John and Ava Schaubach still at Pennsylvania Avenue, Crewe, now a household of two persons only. John, age 63, was engineer on a steam railroad. Ava was 57. They were married at ages 28 and 23 respectively.

Ava Schaubach died on 25 March 1942; John died in 1949 (Sch 6).

John Schaubach and his wife Ava Tanner had the following child:
