was born at Bristol, Rhode Island, about 1843/4, according to the 1850 Census. She was a child of George Wood Maxfield and his wife Ruth Barnard.
In her teenage years, Ann had a child. Later, at Providence, Rhode Island, on 17 January 1865, she married JOSEPH ARTHUR BLAKE (VR RI M 1865:572). The marriage was recorded as follows:

This record indicated that Joseph Blake was born at Providence about 1842/3, to William A. and Susan Blake.

Ann Elizabeth Maxfield of Bristol, 21, white, b. Bristol to George W. and Ruth R., 1st

Ann died before 1900; this statement is based on the number of children still living reported by her mother in the 1900 census.
