Henry Martin Cora Howett Martin

HENRYd MARTIN (Albertc, Mary Gochenauerb, Johna) was born at Smithville, Providence Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, on 10 July 1882. His parents were Albert Martin and his wife Elizabeth K. Groff.

Albert Martin and CORA ESTELLE HOWETT were married at Oak Bottom, near Quarryville, Pennsylvania, on 31 August 1903. G. S. Kerr officiated. Cora, the daughter of Amos Watson Howett and his wife Clara May Johnson, was born on 3 September 1882.

Henry and Cora lived at 532 North Mary Street, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Henry was a "motorman," or transportation worker, for the Conestoga Transportation Company (Dir Lanc 1919: 693; 1929-30: 318). First he was a trolley conductor, then a bus driver.

Henry died at Lancaster on 2 April 1957. The Death Certificate reported sudden death, from acute cardiac dilation with pulmonary ordirva [?]; Antecedent cause: general arteriosclerosis. Henry was 74 yrs old (Pa Deaths 34154: 297). he was buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Lancaster, on 5 April.

Cora lived in her later years at 834 East Orange Street, Lancaster. She died at Lancaster on 13 March 1970, and was buried at Greenwood Cemetery.
