PAULINE LILLY BAUER (Elmer2, John1) was born on 16 April 1911, a child of Elmer Bauer, Senior, and his wife Mary Wilhelm.

Pauline Bauer married JOHN ARMOUR WEIN on 7 October 1933. He was born at Columbia, Pennsylvania, on 26 August 1909.

John and Pauline Wein had no children. Pauline died on 24 June 1950.

John Wein married as his second wife HELEN MARIE BILLET Haughey on 13 January 1951. Helen was born at "Peach Bottom," Fulton Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. John and Helen had one child.

Helen Wein died at Columbia on 18 January 1994. Her obituary is transcribed below. John Wein died on 3 April, 2002. His last residence was Mount Joy, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Helen M. Wein, 81, of St. John's Herr Estate, Columbia, formerly of 1807 Manor St., Columbia, died at home Tuesday evening following a long illness. She was the wife of John A. Wein. They were married 43 years on Jan. 13. Born in Peach Bottom, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Catherine Derr Billet.
She was employed as a secretary, first for Pennsylvania Power & Light and at the former Marietta Transportation Corps and the former Olmsted Air Force Base in Middletown.
She was employed by Bob Smith Contractor, Inc., of Maytown until her retirement in 1976.
A member of Salem United Church of Christ of Columbia, Mrs. Wein had been a member of the choir at Trinity United Church of Christ, Columbia, for more than 25 years.
She belonged to the American Association of Retired Persons, and enjoyed painting, ceramics, knitting, macrame and sewing.
Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters, Linda K., wife of C. David Fritz of Mechanicsburg, and Carol A. Spickler and Harietta "Jackie" Roberts, both of Mount Joy; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Charlotte Frazer of Columbia.
