EDWARD2 TODD (John1) was born at Downingtown, Pennsylvania, on 9 September 1906 (SSDI; Walton). He was a child of John G. Bauer, also known as John Todd and his third wife Mary Kurtz.

CLARA EDITH MILLER married Edward Todd about 1926/7. Clara was born at Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on 23 November 1908, a child of Isaac Miller and Emma Sourbeer (SSDI; obit).

Edward worked as a printer in the flooring plant of Armstrong World Industries. The 1930 census reported this family at 940 Rockland Street, Lancaster:

Perhaps the younger Edward appeared on the scene after the official date for counting persons, and so was crossed out. John Todd was Edward's father.

In 1970 this Todd family moved to 943 Village Road, Lampeter, Pennsylvania. Edward Todd suffered a stroke in 1980. He died at Lampeter on 20 June 1992. His obituary is transcribed below.

Clara Todd died at Willow Street, West Lampeter Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, on 12 November 1909. Her obituary is transcribed below.

Edward Todd, 85, of 943 Village Road, Lampeter, died at home Saturday after a lengthy illness.
He was the husband of Clara Edith Miller Todd.
Todd, a printer, worked in the flooring plant at Armstrong World Industries for 45 years until his retirement in 1971.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was of the Protestant faith. Born in Downingtown, he was the son of the late John and Mary Todd.
Surviving besides his wife are one son, Edward T. Todd of New Providence; five daughters: Betty Jane, wife of Frank McClune, West Chester; Helen A., wife of John Sagerer, Lampeter; Shirley Ann, wife of Thomas Favinger, Kirkwood, Nancy Y., wife of Sonny Rote, New Providence, and Linda Lee Todd, Boston, Mass.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and two sisters, Molly Geiberson, Lancaster, and Ada Walton, Downingtown.

Clara E. Todd, 90, formerly of Lampeter, where she had lived for 26 years, died Friday in her residence at the Glen at Willow Valley after a brief illness.
She had resided there for the past 3 years.
Her husband, Edward Todd, died in June 1992.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, Lancaster.
A homemaker, she enjoyed cooking and tending to her flowers.
Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Emma Sourbeer Miller.
She is survived by a son, Edward T. Todd, New Providence; five daughters: Helen A. Sagerer, Lampeter; Betty, wife of William McClune, West Chester; Shirley, wife of Thomas Favinger, Kirkwood; Nancy, wife of Truman Rote, New Providence; and Linda Lee Todd, Lancaster; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, five great- great grandchildren, and a brother, David Miller, New Providence.
She was preceded in death by brothers Ben, Amos, James, Horace, John, Isaac and Norman Miller, and sisters Lydia Burkman and Elizabeth Miller.
